Biography of CNN’s Don Lemon


Don Lemon is an American television journalist. Born in Louisiana, he started anchored weekend news shows in Alabama and Pennsylvania before moving to Washington, D.C. He has a master’s degree in political science and teaches journalism at Columbia University. He is a CNN personality who is a natural leader and an advocate for people. His bio is short and sweet. Don Lemon’s early years were tainted by racism. He was born to an illegitimate father and a single mother. His mother, Katherine Marie Bouligney, was a prominent lawyer who fought segregation in the city of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His parents divorced when he was five, and Lemon later discovered his biological father. Although he is an American citizen by birth, his father was not a good role model.


After graduating from college, Don Lemon worked as a weekend anchor for WNYW in New York City and as a general assignment reporter for WCAU in Philadelphia. He also served as a correspondent for NBC News in New York and on the NBC Nightly News. He also reported on the inauguration of the 44th president and the Freddie Gray case. As a young man, he began reporting at WNYW in New York City as a news assistant.
