Bernhard Seikovits is an Austrian professional football tight end for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He previously played for the Vienna Vikings in the Austrian Football League. He joined the Cardinals as part of the NFL International Player Pathway Program in 2021. Before his current role as a tight end, Seikovits played for the Vienna Lions in the Austrian Football Association.

Although he grew up in Austria, the 23-year-old is one of only 14 international players on NFL rosters. While at college, he attended Case Western University and played for the Memphis Express in the now-defunct Alliance of American Football. He was replaced by Johnny Manziel, who came to Arizona with the hopes of learning the game of American football. The Cardinals were intrigued by Seikovits’ ability to learn the offense and develop a connection with their quarterback.

Seikovits was born July 24, 1997 in Vienna, Austria. He spent his early years playing soccer and flag football with his classmates. However, he did not like soccer as much as his peers. His father, who is American, encouraged him to play flag football. He quickly rose through the ranks of European American football. When he finally made it to the NFL, he was drafted through the International Player Pathway Program.

The team did not sign Seikovits in free agency, but his fellow tight end Maxx Williams is helping him learn the language and American humor. The two are also educating him about American sports. He has seen “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” by director Peter Bergman and his favorite movie, “The Narnia Trilogy”. The movie’s premise is a reference to the world’s first NASCAR driver.

The international player pathway program allows Austrians to compete for a roster spot. A player is eligible to join the Cardinals if his nationality requires a waiver. In addition to playing on the team’s roster, Seikovits can also be added to the practice squad, which helps the team carry an extra player. Its international player pathway program allows players from other countries to play in the NFL.

While Seikovits has not played a position on the field yet, his name is certainly familiar to fans of the Arizona Cardinals. The 6-foot-2, 262-pound tight end has been a mainstay for the Austrian national team and was selected in the first round of the 2018 draft. Aside from his playing position, Seikovits has a background in the basketball and tennis.

The 6-foot-5 Austrian tight end is one of 14 international players on NFL rosters. Growing up in Vienna, Seikovits’ nationality did not prevent him from playing football, but it did help him to make the transition to a tight end. The international player’s experience has given him an edge over his American counterparts. This is not a good sign, however, as he is not yet used to playing in the U.S.
