The tragic murder of Ally Kostial has captivated the media and true crime detectives.
This information was discovered during the bombing of her attacker, Brandon Theesfeld.
Who was Ally Kostial?
Ally Kostial, 21, was a UM student.
Ally’s graduation was set for the spring of 2020, according to her obituary.
Ally was involved in numerous extracurricular activities while at Ole Miss.
She founded the Alpha Phi Group, served as president of the school’s golf club, and taught fitness.
Ally met Brandon Theesfeld at school.
What was Ally’s cause of death?
Through their time at college, Ally and Brandon casually went out again, occasionally.
Ally tried to contact Brandon in April 2019 due to the possibility that she might be pregnant with his child.
After avoiding her for months, Brandon met Ally on July 20, 2019 – and carried out her murder.
The attacker shot Ally several times after he met to discuss arrangements based on the possibility that she was pregnant at the time.
During the trial in August 2021, legal officials announced that Ally was not pregnant when she was killed based on autopsy evidence.
Brandon’s lawyer, Tony Farese, told the press: “The autopsy showed that she was not pregnant and there was no evidence that she was pregnant.
Farese added: “But that was part of the underlying theme of their relationship.”
What happened to Ally’s striker Brandon Theesfeld?
In August 2021, Brandon Theesfeld was convicted of the charges brought against him for the murder of Ally Kostial.
He pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
Before pleading guilty, Brandon was initially charged with capital murder and faced a possible death sentence.
Brandon and his legal team entered into a plea agreement a week before his sentencing, which led to the suspension of the possible death penalty and instead led to life imprisonment.
He told Ally’s family in court: “I am sincerely sorry for the pain I caused when I took Ally from you.”
The killer added: “My actions changed your lives and my family’s lives forever. I wish I could take it all back, but I can not.”
“There is no excuse for my actions and I have asked God for forgiveness. I hope one day you will find it in your heart to forgive me.”
