Adam Laxalt is the Republican nominee for Nevada Attorney General. He has been married to Kelly Laxalt since 2002 and they have two children. Laxalt was born on February 9, 1972, in Reno, Nevada. He graduated from the University of Nevada-Reno with a Bachelor of Science degree in political science in 1994. He later earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas School of Law in 1998. Laxalt began his legal career as a law clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Malcolm A. MacLean in 1998. In 2000, he joined the Clark County District Attorney’s Office as an assistant district attorney and became deputy district attorney in 2006.
