Anne Christina Hogue was born on June 29, 1892, in Glebe Point, Sydney, New South Wales, the fourth daughter and youngest child of James Alexander Hogue (1846-1920) and Jessie Hogue (1853-1932), née Robards.
She was the sister of Trooper Blue Gum author Major Oliver Hogue (1880-1919) and John Roland Hogue (1882-1958), a superb professional singer (baritone), Broadway, film, and U.S.television actor, and playwright.
On 19 January 1922, she married Guy Wyatt (1893-1981) of the British Navy, afterwards Vice-Admiral Sir Arthur Guy Norris Wyatt, K.B., C.B., and relocated to England. The pair eventually relocated in Tasmania.
