Eileen Marie Davidson is an actress, novelist, television personality, and former model from the United States. Davidson is best remembered for her appearances on NBC’s Days of Our Lives as Kristen DiMera and Susan Banks and CBS’s The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful as Ashley Abbott.
For her portrayal on Days of Our Lives, Davidson won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2014.
She was the second actress to receive a Daytime Emmy Award for the soap in the category of “Lead Actress,” and she won it again in 2018 for her performance on The Young and the Restless.
Davidson also featured in the 1983 film The House on Sorority Row, starred in the CBS crime drama Broken Badges (1990–91), and penned a number of mystery books in the 2000s.
In 2014, Davidson joined the cast of Bravo’s reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, where she remained full-time until 2017.
Davidson was born in Artesia, California, the youngest of seven children to Charlotte (née Burkhard) Davidson, a housewife, and Richard Davidson, an aviation parts manufacturer. She was brought up in a Roman Catholic household.
