Henderson Alexander Gall, CMG, CBE is a Scottish journalist, author, and former ITN news presenter. He was born on October 1, 1927, and his career as a journalist has spanned more than 50 years. Gall is a recipient of the CMG and CBE.
Gall has reported from Afghanistan on numerous occasions, written several books about Afghanistan, and produced three documentaries about Afghanistan during the Soviet–Afghan War.
Afghanistan: Behind Russian Lines (1982), Allah Against the Gunships (1984), and Agony of a Nation are the titles of the documentaries that Gall produced during the war (1986).
Both of the most recent documentaries were put forward for consideration for BAFTA awards. Sandy Gall’s Afghanistan Appeal was first launched by Gall in the year 1986. (SGAA).

Although Gall took his retirement from ITN in 1992, he has continued his job in television and as a writer. In 2003, he was given the position of World Affairs Expert on LBC radio. Carlotta Gall, who is the man’s daughter, is also a journalist.
